As David Letterman geared up to launch his final episode of Late Show, there were a few other talk show hosts who had something to say about it. To claim Late Show with David Letterman was influential to a whole host of young comedians would be an understatement. It set the bar, and steered many of those comics towards pursuing the same path.. hosting their own late night talk show. These are some of the best tributes to Dave, from some of our favorite hosts.

Seth’s tribute is pretty ingenious. He honored Dave by making a shot-for-shot recreation of Letterman’s original Late Night intro.
It’s nice to see all the love Dave has garnered. All we can think of is… Stephen Colbert has some really huge shoes to fill.
